Step 4 — Activate the Proxy

Once your destination IP and proxy mode are set, you're ready to start routing traffic.

1. Click the Activate proxy button in the top-right of the dashboard.

The status will change from inactive to active, and packets sent to your staple IP will immediately begin routing to your origin server using the selected mode.

No delay, no health check. Activation is immediate. There is no billing implication tied to activation, and GatewaySentry does not run a health check on your origin before turning routing on. Make sure your origin is ready to receive traffic before activating.
