Editing Your Configuration

After your staple IP is set up, you may need to change your destination IP, switch proxy modes, or work with a managed staple IP.

Changing the Destination IP

  1. Deactivate the proxy first — the Destination IP field cannot be edited while the proxy is active.
  2. Click the edit icon next to Destination IP in the Assignment panel.
  3. Enter the new IP and save.
  4. Reactivate the proxy.

Changing the Proxy Mode

  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to Mode in the Assignment panel.
  2. Choose a new mode from the dialog. See the Proxy Modes Reference for details on each.
  3. The change takes effect the next time the proxy activates. If the proxy is currently active, deactivate and reactivate to apply the new mode.

Managed Staple IPs

If your staple IP is managed by GatewaySentry, you won't be able to change its settings yourself. Contact GatewaySentry Support to make changes to managed IPs.
