Step 4 — Apply Your Changes¶
All edits to your firewall — adding, editing, deleting rules, or changing the default policy — are staged until you click Apply at the top-right or bottom-right of the editor.
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| Apply | Commits all staged changes to the live firewall. |
| Discard | Throws away all staged changes since you opened the editor. |
⚠️ Apply changes carefully. When you click Apply, all your staged changes go live at once. If you've also changed the default policy to Drop in the same edit session, the moment you click Apply, any traffic not matched by your rules will be blocked. Review the rules list and the default policy badge before applying.
